An Evening of Rieccolo Wines at Mammamia Suzhou
On the delightful evening of January 22nd, Mammamia Suzhou warmly welcomed our esteemed guests to a special wine dinner, an enchanting journey through the diverse flavors of Rieccolo wines, and an introduction to our high end wine, the Rieccolo Spumente Cuvee. Our sincere thanks go to Chef Carmine, whose skillful hands crafted a menu infused with the soul of Abruzzo, and to Gioacchino, whose impeccable service added a touch of perfection to the evening. It brought us immense joy to not only share the story of our DP family but also to present our exceptional wines to our dear friends in Suzhou.
The evening unfolded with the effervescent Rieccolo Spumante Cuvee, a sparkling prelude that set the stage for a sequence of delectable dishes, each thoughtfully paired to perfection. The cozy ambiance allowed our wines to shine, creating a harmonious experience for all in attendance.
Our first course featured the delightful Rieccolo Cerasuolo D.O.C, perfectly paired with a mixed appetizer platter, boasting cured meats, cheeses, and fried cheese balls. The vibrant rosé danced in harmony with the medley of flavors, setting a delightful tone for the night.
The following dish saw Rieccolo Terre di Chieti IGP Pecorino accompanying a pasta creation with chickpeas, crispy bell pepper, creamy cod, and nduja oil. The crispness of the Pecorino beautifully balanced the richness of the pasta, creating a delightful contrast.
Transitioning to reds, the spotlight was on Rieccolo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo D.O.C, elegantly paired with a saffron-infused rice dish featuring a trio of meats, peas, and cheese. The robust red wine added depth to the savory ensemble.
The grand finale featured the distinguished Rieccolo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Premium D.O.C, elegantly paired with the ll Maialino dessert. This unconventional pairing concluded the night on a sensational note, leaving a lasting impression.
